Linksys has launched the first dual-band, omni-directional high-gain antennas, WRT004ANT and WRT002ANT, for the consumer market.
The company said new Linksys high-gain antennas are available in a 2- and 4- pack which help to improve a router’s signal strength specifically at the edge of a Wi-Fi network resulting in enhanced Wi-Fi performance.
The new antennas also deliver 4dBi in the 2.4GHz band and 7dBi in the 5Hz band for up to 2X* antenna gain over stock antennas.
According to Linksys the new antennas are compatible with any wireless router that features an RP-SMA connection and are easy to install.
Company officials said upgrading to omni-directional antennas also improves connectivity with mobile devices in the home and resolve basic signal issues.
Linksys WRT004ANT and WRT002ANT Omni-directional High Gain Antennas are for MSRP of $99.99 and $59.99 respectively.
