Oracle will kick off Oracle OpenWorld on October 22-25 — targeting 60,000 plus customers and partners from 175 countries and 19 million virtual attendees.
Oracle OpenWorld 2018Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison, CEO Mark Hurd,  Chief Corporate Architect Edward Screven, in addition to clients such as AT&T Business, Cisco, and Cummins will be present at the cloud technology event.

Speakers at Oracle OpenWorld 2018 include Brian Greene, physicist and co-founder of the World Science Festival; futurist Sophie Hackford, CEO of 1715 Labs; Nely Galan, producer and former president of Entertainment for Telemundo; and Rand Hindi, CEO of Snips.

Oracle Code One

The company announced Oracle Code One, a conference at Oracle OpenWorld. Oracle Code One offers an opportunity to learn about new innovations in Java and emerging technologies, as well as access hands-on labs for building applications using these technologies on Oracle Cloud.

Oracle Cloud Market place

Oracle also announced the inclusion of the Oracle Cloud Market place within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console. The Oracle Cloud Marketplace is an online store for Oracle and partner-built business applications and services, including FireEye, HighJump, and ICS Financial Systems.

Software vendors

Oracle announced that Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) are adopting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to run enterprise and cloud-native applications with mission-critical performance.

Leading brands, including FICO, FireEye, KNAPP, and Manhattan Associates have selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to power their cloud solutions.

According to IDC, ISVs using Oracle Cloud have experienced quicker time to market, faster customer onboarding, cost savings and an increased ability to operate reliable secure services.

“Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provides ISVs with the ability to innovate faster and streamline operations while at the same time offer increased performance at a lower cost compared to other public cloud providers,” said Inderjeet Singh, executive vice president Global ISV, OEM and Java.

FICO

FICO helps lenders make credit risk decisions across the customer lifecycle.
FICO Decision Management Platform (DMP) allows organizations to have data, decision rules and analytics connected by a single platform that allows customers to share data and decision components across all enterprise applications, across the entire company.

“Running DMP streaming on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure extends our ability to serve the Oracle community while providing the benefits of DMP streaming, reducing time-to-market, performance and scale,” said Doug Clare, vice president of Product Marketing at FICO.

FireEye

FireEye’s deployment of Oracle Cloud helped in improving effectiveness and reducing the complexity of cyber security.

“Oracle Cloud Infrastructure combines the elasticity and utility of a public cloud with the granular control, security and predictability of on-premises infrastructure to deliver high-performing, cost-effective infrastructure services,” Rich Stegina, vice president, Global Strategic Partnerships at FireEye.

KNAPP

KNAPP, a provider of automation solutions for intralogistics and manufacturing, provided a robot solution for Parfums Christian Dior.

“Oracle Cloud gives us a global deployment platform for our new analytics service that is flexible and can grow upon demand as we on board new customers. Oracle Cloud assisted in the transition of KNAPP from a warehouse automation company to a data-as-a-service provider,” Peter Puchwein, director of Innovation, KNAPP AG, said.

Manhattan Associates

Manhattan Associates works with some of the top global retailers, including Brooks Brothers and Ulta Beauty.

“Oracle Cloud Infrastructure gives Manhattan Associates the flexibility to easily scale up cloud environments on demand, which is an important part of handling peak demand for many of the world’s largest retail customers,” said Stewart Gantt, senior vice president, Professional Services, Manhattan Associates.
