NEC announces Univerge 3C unified communication tool and strategies for India

Todd Landry, NEC global smart enterprise chief evangelist and Makoto Omi, general manager, Global Business Unit of NEC announced Univerge 3C unified communication (UC) tool and smart enterprise solution strategy in India.

Univerge 3C delivers unified communications and collaboration tools to business users for virtually any device while maintaining a consistent user experience. While Univerge 3 supports both Android and Apple, it does not work with BlackBerry and Windows smartphones. The company says most of its clients are on Apple and Android OS platforms.

The software services adapt to a variety of business roles, from sales and support, to internal workgroups providing increased efficiencies and greater workforce productivity.

The company said execution of NEC UC solution is simpler than its rivals. NEC Univerge 3C is also cost effective. It will focus on ITES, hospitality, government, logistics industries, etc. to gain the presence. It will offer the new Univerge 3C to its existing clients.

IDC says cloud spending and collaborative technologies are each expected to grow by 25 percent in 2014. NEC’s enterprise solutions are aligned with this trend to focus on expansion of its platform that includes social, mobile, cloud technologies driving change and demand for smarter enterprise infrastructure.
