DigitalOcean, a cloud infrastructure provider for developers, today announced the appointment of Citrix veteran Mike Cristinziano as SVP of strategy and corporate development – responsible for alliances and other inorganic growth opportunities.
Prior to joining DigitalOcean, Mike Cristinziano was the corporate vice president of strategic development at Citrix.
Citrix allocated more than $3 billion toward 50+ acquisitions and grew revenue from $500 million to $3.4 billion under the leadership of Mike Cristinziano. During his 14 years at the company, he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments and investor relations, among other strategic growth initiatives.
DigitalOcean has more than 450 employees, an annual run rate of more than $200 million, and a community of 3.5 million developers.
“As we look ahead, we want the leadership to capitalize even further on the more than $150 billion public cloud services market,” DigitalOcean CEO Mark Templeton said.
Mike Cristinziano holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees, both in engineering, from Temple University and University of Pennsylvania respectively.
