As part of the ERP deal, SAP will be delivering an on-demand enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business management solution to Lloyd’s Register that has operations in 78 countries and more than 9,000 employees.
SAP solutions aim to simplify and enhance the company’s finance, project management, project resourcing and human resources (HR) processes.
Andrew Punter, transformation director, Lloyds Register, said that the SAP solutions can remove complexity and allow its team to focus on business innovation, not process.
SAP Business ByDesign solution, which is one of the main components of ERP contract, is designed for project based businesses and delivered online as software-as-a-service (SaaS).
Apart from the SAP Business ByDesign solution, SuccessFactors solutions will be supporting multiple languages, currencies and legal and financial conventions at Lloyds Register while being managed, monitored and maintained by SAP.
The program will support the company in moving to a shared service operating model and driving compliance requirements for technical authorization more efficiently. The new tools will support the life cycle of HR processes — from hiring to retiring. Lloyd’s Register will implement the SAP solutions over two years.
