Infotech Lead India: MindTree is planning to double SAP headcount.
The global IT Services and Product Engineering Services company will be making significant investments over the next twelve months in its SAP Practice.
MindTree is targeting to grow the SAP Practice by over 70 percent in the next twelve months. MindTree targets to double its SAP headcount to achieve this goal.
The market is huge. Gartner said worldwide spending on enterprise application software will total $120.4 billion in 2012. Enterprise Resource Planning is the largest enterprise application software market with revenue projected to reach $24.9 billion in 2012, followed by office suites at $16.5 billion. Business Intelligence revenue is forecast to reach $13.0 billion, and Customer Relation Management is on pace to exceed $13.0 billion this year.
MindTree has recently appointed Arun Rangaraju as senior vice president and ERP Practice Head. Before joining MindTree, he worked with SAP India.

MindTree’s main SAP projects include consolidation of financial data, GAAP and management reporting using SEM-BCS/ GRC for a CPG multinational across 150+ countries and 600+ legal entities, BI design and rollout across Asia-Pac for a consumer electronics major, ERP/CRM implementation for a Middle East conglomerate using SAP EC&O best practices, a CEO analytics dashboard with visualization features and a mega outsourcing deal for a large European telecom service provider encompassing infrastructure support and rebadging of key client personnel.
