Infotech Lead America: Healthcare service provider MedRisk has tapped Dell to support its applications development, infrastructure expansion and managed security services.
As part of a 10-year agreement, services from Dell will enable MedRisk to increase business performance, position it for future growth, and to develop and deploy solutions designed to promote quality care and return-to-work-oriented treatment for injured workers.
MedRisk offers patient-centered care through access to a network of physical therapists to clients such as insurance carriers, self-insured employers, third-party administrators, state funds, managed care organizations and case management companies.
“Providing our clients with innovative solutions backed by cutting-edge service technology is a cornerstone of the MedRisk model. Through this partnership, MedRisk and Dell will combine their resources and expertise to offer some of the most effective and efficient managed care solution in the workers’ compensation industry,” said Dan Kelly, COO, MedRisk.
Dell said MedRisk will have access to IT services; managed security support; and additional applications development resources and experience.
“Healthcare industry leaders must innovate and adapt to the changing healthcare landscape to stay ahead in today’s environment. They need to be more nimble and create scalable sustainable processes to enable business transformation and growth. We are delighted to work with MedRisk and look forward to being a strategic advisor for its business transformation,” said Sid Nair, vice president and global general manager, Dell Services – Healthcare & Life Sciences.
Recently, Dell said its expanded cloud services enable business customers to select solutions that will help drive business results, whether they need strict security and compliance, large or small workload capabilities, real-time storage and retrieval, or quick and easy online access for configuring their cloud services.
