Essar Group has implemented IBM’s Power 7 systems to optimize their Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
IBM’s smarter computing assisted Essar, which has over 75,000 employees in 25 countries, to minimize business impact during migration, which may require changes to project duration and downtime among others.
In addition, IBM PowerVM will offer flexibility and scalability and ease of use and manageability using IBM PowerHA cluster software.

IBM says its Power 7 systems are designed to manage demanding emerging applications, ranging from smart electrical grids to real-time analytics for financial markets.
The systems incorporate a number of technologies for the specialized demands of new applications and services that rely on processing an enormous number of concurrent transactions and data while analyzing that information in real time.
Earlier, IBM said it was selected by Thermax for IT consolidation and cloud platform. IBM’s Smarter Computing solution will serve as both a consolidation platform for existing services and a cloud environment to test and develop new solutions.
Thermax selected IBM SmartCloud and PureSystems over solutions from Cisco and Dell. IBM IT solution will enable Thermax to strengthen its IT infrastructure and enable its clients to operate at reduced cost and with greater safety, energy efficiency, reliability and flexibility.
