Infotech Lead Asia: Cargill Australia has selected Eka Software Solutions, a provider of commodities trading and risk management solutions (CTRM), to streamline its business in Australia.
“We wanted to replace our legacy systems with a modern and best of breed commodity and risk management system. Eka demonstrated a strong understanding of our business and had a largely ‘out of the box’ product that suited our requirement, especially around managing grain pools,” said Mitch Morrison, general manager, Cargill Australia.
Cargill Australia is implementing Eka.Agriculture, Eka’s commodity and risk management platform for agri-businesses to manage their grain origination and oilseed crush operations.
Eka.Agriculture will enable Cargill Australia to ensure a seamless system for managing grain origination & logistics. The solution is expected to assist Cargill Australia to manage oilseed crush planning, financial hedging, risk management, sales and marketing of grain and oilseed products and a management suite for reporting and risk management.
Moreover, Cargill Australia will deploy Eka.Grownet – Eka’s online grower portal which enables farmers to transact with Cargill Australia without the constraints of time and distance. It will help Cargill Australia improve grower experience and build farmer loyalty.
“Winning a client like Cargill Australia also cements our position as a leader in the Australian Agri-Commodity market where we already have clients like Gavilon, GrainCorp and CBH,” said Manav Garg, CEO & founder Eka Software Solutions.
