Infotech Lead India: Asian Paints has implemented mobile solutions from SAP.
Leveraging the SAP mobile platform and the SAP Afaria mobile device management solution, Asian Paints gained real-time visibility into business processes and increased efficiency of its sales force.
Asian Paints is the first SAP customer to extend the capabilities of SAP software onto the Android mobile platform.

Asian Paints operates in 17 countries, has 24 manufacturing facilities and serves consumers across 65 countries.
The adoption of the SAP mobile platform on Android enables 700 salespeople with a 360-degree view of Asian Paints customers.
Moreover, the company has custom-built a mobile app on the SAP mobile platform. With the new app internally called as ExSell, Asian Paints sales force has access to both offline and real-time information at their fingertips.
The SAP mobile sulution has enabled Asian Paints to ensure quick workflow approvals and dealer inquiries. Moreover, sales people can eliminate error-prone manual processes while being empowered to work independently and address customer demands with superior efficiency.

Meanwhile, SAP launched a free mobile developer license, a new SAP Mobile Apps Partner program and additional support for integrating the software development frameworks from Adobe, Appcelerator Titanium and Sencha with the SAP mobile platform.
