Amadeus, provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry, has deployed Red Hat’s OpenShift Enterprise to build its own highly available, self-service, automated cloud platform, Amadeus Cloud Services.
Amadeus has selected OpenShift Enterprise to create and run a private cloud-based application designed to meet specific customer demands.
The company will serve its travel industry customers by selecting OpenShift to build the Amadeus Cloud Services solution.
Additionally engineers can maximize existing resources by integrating and monitoring their existing middleware applications within OpenShift platform.
The company can re-deploy applications when necessary with the help of OpenShift’s automated recovery, scaling and capacity planning abilities.
This apart, Amadeus will also increase availability of its leading-edge platform while driving reductions in latency at the same time.
“Although we are still in the early stages of deployment, we have seen already that the flexibility of the OpenShift platform and the support we have received from Red Hat has allowed us to begin to take our application to the next level and expand it to a wider customer base,” said Dietmar Fauser, VP architecture, quality and governance at Amadeu.
