Infotech Lead India: Zicom Electronic Security Systems has launched a push video alarm system — inTouch.
inTouch provides a real-time alarm system that pushes the actual video feed of any disturbance into any portable device such as a mobile phone or tablet whenever there is a human movement. It uses a PIR (Passive Infra Red) sensor for detection of human movement. The PIR systems decrease the instances of false alarms. Users get instant notification and can access real time video playback.
inTouch has been designed to provide better safety to working couples, children, and senior citizens. Retail stores located in crime-sensitive areas can use it as a business intelligence tool to secure their premises and stock expensive products without fearing for their safety.
As inTouch works as a remote managed service, it has an edge over traditional surveillance tools. If an undesirable event occurs, an emergency response is automatically triggered by inTouch and a copy of the video is also served on the Zicom server.
inTouch has a Do-It-Yourself set up which configures automatically. Its onboard recording has expandable memory up to 32 GB. The users of inTouch benefit from ability to trigger an alarm/hooter remotely and receive a 24X7 device-monitoring service by the Zicom Command Centre.
According to a study by Research and Markets, the electronic security market in India is highly untapped, mainly due to lack of awareness of the benefits of installing such equipment.
As awareness among different user segments slowly increases, growth in the market is also increasing.Demand mainly arises from sectors such as city surveillance, public transport, hospitality, airport security, BFSI, retail, BPO, manufacturing, college campuses, infrastructure companies and education. The government sector contributes to a major chunk of the demand. PSUs are also a vertical with significant demand.
The new inTouch Push Video Alarm System are currently available at all Zicom’s business verticals like channel and DST as well as retail chains such as Kohinoor and NEXT.
