Infotech Lead India: HP is strengthening its presence among Indian enterprises by offering network security products.
HP’s HP TippingPoint NX Platform Next Generation Intrusion Prevention System (NGIPS) product line is aimed at data centers and enterprise in India.
HP has priced the HP S7100NX at $249,995. The security product scales up to 13 Gb/s inspection throughput and 100 Gb/s network throughput.
The price of the HP S5200NX is $179,995. This, according to HP, scales up to 5 Gb/s inspection throughput and 40 Gb/s network throughput.
HP claims that its network security products are designed to protect enterprise networks, applications and data from today’s aggressive, advanced threats.
Enterprises will benefit as the networking product offers security that covers critical endpoints throughout the enterprise.
“The security landscape is becoming more complex, where attacks come in many forms bundled together working as one, forcing enterprises to rethink their traditional defense strategies,” said Damanjit Singh Uberoi, chief solutions architect & evangelist, South Asia HP Enterprise Security Products.
“With the new HP NX NGIPS platform, organizations can address these challenges with an adaptive, high-performance solution that can seamlessly works with a host of other defenses to protect against sophisticated threats,” Uberoi added.
Targeting enterprises and service providers, the HP NX NGIPS platform provides in-line, real-time protection across critical networks.
By adding significant capacity for deep packet traffic inspection, the platform delivers vulnerability protection across major endpoints including: network devices, virtual machines, operating systems, and business-critical applications.
Recently, HP launched HP Institute in India, an academic partnership program. The HP initiative will equip students with business-ready IT skills. The HP Institute is part of the HP ExpertOne program and will offer HP Accredited Technical Associate (ATA) certifications.
