Cisco has launched new capabilities and services to provide customers with powerful tools for faster time to detection and resolution and has also announced new models of Cisco ASA with FirePOWER services.
Cisco has unveiled new capabilities and services for security professionals to protect against, respond to and recover from attacks.
Cisco has expanded its Cisco Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) portfolio by adding AMP Threat Grid which integrates innovation acquired through last year’s acquisition of ThreatGRID.
The company said this integration will provide malware threat intelligence and dynamic malware analysis capabilities, both on-premise and in the cloud.
In addition, Cisco has also introduced Incident Response Services with team of information experts that utilize threat intelligence and best practices for readiness and response from network to endpoint to cloud.
These capabilities are deployable across the extended network including endpoints, mobile devices and virtual systems, as well as Cisco Web and email security appliances.
Cisco has also introduced new models of Cisco ASA with FirePOWER Services to provide advanced threat protection and threat detection capabilities to Midsize Businesses, Branch Offices and Industrial Environments.
Cisco ASA with FirePOWER Services delivers the industry’s first threat-focused NGFW by combining firewall, application visibility and control (AVC), advanced malware protection (AMP), and next-generation intrusion prevention capabilities (NGIPS)Â into a single device.
The new capability delivers integrated and continuous threat protection that can be pervasively applied across a broad range of enterprise sizes and locations as well as into industrial locations.
The solution provides simplified security management, managed security and migration services and lowers the cost of operation.
ASA with FirePOWER service models is available with models 5506-X, 5506W-X, 5506H-X, 5508H-X and 5516-X for home offices, small businesses, industrial environments, branch offices and midsize businesses.
Cisco is offering ASA with FirePOWER for $995 including a Cisco ASA with FirePOWER Services appliance and management.
