Infotech Lead Middle East: StorIT has signed a distributor partnership agreement with Mellanox Technologies, a supplier of interconnect solutions for data center servers and storage systems.
The agreement enables StorIT to distribute Mellanox Technologies’ range of Ethernet and InfiniBand interconnect solutions, including adapters, switches, cables and software, for the GCC, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Levant and the North African regions.
The association with Mellanox Technologies will complement StorIT’s continuing move to provide the region with complete end-to-end solutions that can help address the growing demand for systems that offer superior application performance, efficiency and scalability.
Globally Mellanox, a InfiniBand product vendor, addresses a range of datacenter markets like high-performance computing, financial services, database, web 2.0, internet and the cloud.
StorIT will showcase these solutions during their participation at this year’s edition of the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX), an annual consumer computer electronics trade show, which will be held from October 14, 2012 to October 18, 2012 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
“We are proud to reveal our new partnership with Mellanox Technologies, which is recognized as an innovator in server and storage connectivity, and converged product developments,” said Boby Joseph, CEO, StorIT.
“This strategic alliance will give us the opportunity to provide our customers with a product range that can help effect more growth for their high-performance interconnect businesses. A global brand like Mellanox will surely deliver unprecedented price performance,” Joseph added.
StorIT has implemented a channel program that aims to add considerable value to its alignment of vendors, thereby helping resellers and end users to build demand around leading storage multi-vendor offerings.
StorIT is seeing growth potential across industries like Enterprise, Oil & Gas, Education, Service Providers (ISP’s and Telecoms), Defense and in emerging economies like KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and the North African region.
“The Middle East and North African (MENA) region is currently witnessing a surge in the deployment of new applications and systems that require high performing, scalable and efficient connectivity products,” said Darrin Chen, senior director Worldwide Channels, Mellanox Technologies.
“Our partnership with StorIT will allow us to better address these demands by leveraging our engaging line of products and solutions across companies and organizations—helping them achieve target revenue and return-on-investment (ROI) goals,” Chen added.
