JLL, commercial real estate company, has selected Riverbed SteelHead for its next generation hybrid network.
JLL uses SteelHead to deliver value to its commercial real estate owner, investor and corporate clients in more than 80 countries.
The company said JLL also ensures superior online performance of live video and SaaS apps worldwide.
The real estate company has annual revenue of $5.4 billion with 58,000 employees in IT department across 23 corporate offices in more than 80 countries.
The IT team ensure rapid access to centralized, business critical applications while supporting technology platforms such as RED, 3D remote site selection tool Blackbird and smart building platform IntelliCommand.
Additionally, JLL has invested in Riverbed implementation to support tech-savy workforce while improving agility and efficiency and lower operational costs.
JLL has also removed file servers from branch offices and saved costs and time by using Riverbed technology.
In addition, SteelHead ensures high-quality webcasts and videoconferences and allows JLL to adopt live video town hall meetings and support other data-intensive client platforms such as new data and analytics platform, RED, and its 3D remote site analysis software, Blackbird.
“JLL continues to rely on SteelHead to ensure fast data access and superior application performance over the network. Even with 100 mbps connections, without the SteelHead appliances, people would be screaming about poor application performance,” said Joe Ryan, JLL chief technology officer, Americas.

In June, Northwest Pipe Company selected Riverbed SteelHead and Riverbed SteelFusion to modernize its IT environment while improving corporate productivity, data protection and network visibility for faster issue resolution.
