EMC has launched hybrid Cloud solution for enterprises enabling IT-as-a-service (ITaaS) in 28 days.
The storage vendor is supplying the EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Solution Federation SDDC Edition with VMware in three sizes, to support deployments for up to 500, 5,000 and 10,000 virtual machines.
A recent EMC Survey said that 76 percent of IT decision makers in India believe that a combination of public and private cloud services allows for better agility and security, and 31 percent have already deployed hybrid cloud.
“IT transformation leveraging hybrid cloud is more about just technology and that’s why EMC also offers customers proven services expertise and know-how aligned to help CIOs plan and implement the changes needed to transform IT’s approach to IT-as-a-Service,” said Vikas Arora, general manager, Professional Services Delivery, Asia Pacific & Japan, EMC.
EMC has joined hands with Cloud service providers Netmagic and Sungard Availability Services to deliver its hybrid cloud solution in India. EMC will target customers in industry verticals such as manufacturing, healthcare, retail, BFSI and IT/ITeS sectors.
Addressing the IT industry through a webinar in India, EMC said it invested 40,000 engineering hours to develop and deliver the EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Solution.
The storage vendor says the new hybrid Cloud solution is designed to be implemented in 28 days or less with EMC Professional Services. Enterprises will have access to full service catalog of automated data services.
Enterprises will benefit from integration with public cloud services built on VMware vCloud Air, Microsoft Azure, AWS and other EMC-powered cloud service providers.
EMC has helped accelerate more than 15,000 cloud deployments for customers. In India, EMC has conducted more than 50 IT transformation workshops for customers wanting to deploy Hybrid Cloud.
