Enterprise IT vendor Dell today said it is leading the Indian x86 server market in terms of revenue in Q3, 2014, quoting IDC’s latest market report.
Dell has 38 percent revenue share. Dell’s 38 percent revenue share in the India x86 server market in Q3 2014 was 6 points higher than the #2 ranked vendor. Dell did not name its nearest competitor.
IDC last month said shipment of HP in the Indian x86 server market decreased 12 percent in Q3 2014 as compared to Q2 2014. Dell shipment of servers rose 17 percent.
In India x86 server market, HP continued to lead in Q3 2014 with 33 percent share in terms of units against Dell’s 29 percent.
Dell India said it x86 server shipments increased 65 percent on quarter on quarter. Shipment and revenue grew by more than 100 percent on year-on-year basis.

Dell’s x86 server revenues have grown Q/Q consistently in India for 4 consecutive quarters since Q4 2013.
