Cloudwatt deploys Juniper OpenContrail to improve network operation

Cloudwatt, a European public cloud provider, has deployed Juniper Networks OpenContrail to improve network operation efficiency and ensure data security for its cloud deployment.

To build a secure public cloud for its enterprise customers, Cloudwatt, a software-defined networking (SDN) solution, to seamlessly integrate with its existing network infrastructure. Juniper Networks also assisted the cloud vendor to achieve regulatory compliance, and meet security and privacy needs of its customers.

The integration of OpenContrail and Cloudwatt’s cloud orchestration system resulted in the large-scale deployment of Cloudwatt’s production public cloud environment, which went into production on June 30, 2014.

OpenContrail enabled Cloudwatt to innovate, adopt and experiment with SDN technology to maintain full control of customization and optimization of its network infrastructure.

By leveraging OpenContrail, Cloudwatt is able to expedite its cloud deployment, simplify network operations, connect virtual and physical environments as well as scale out its cloud environment.
