Software-defined smart data storage provider Cloudian announced that it is working with data center solution provider Quanta Cloud Technology to deploy HyperStore smart data storage software to bring object-based storage to QCT’s customers.
“Providing a full spectrum of innovative, enterprise-grade compute, network and storage infrastructure is a cornerstone of our growth strategy,” said Mike Yang, general manager, QCT.
“As more and more IT organizations identify object storage as critical to a software-defined data center, we selected Cloudian HyperStore as a technology partner to bring massively scalable, fully integrated cloud storage to our customers.”
QCT will integrate HyperStore software in its storage appliances, powered by Intel architecture. This will offer customers the business and operational advantages of hyperscale, software-defined object storage with full AWS and S3-cloud compatibility.
The addition of Cloudian HyperStore software to its portfolio expands QCT’s data center solutions for service providers, enterprises and content providers.
Cloudian HyperStore supports multi-tenancy, peer-to-peer scaling and seamless, policy-rich data management from on-premises infrastructure to any S3-compatible public cloud.
“Next generation data centers require a balancing of many factors such as environmental foot print, software, compute, network and storage to meet the accelerating data demands of end-users,” said Bev Crair, vice president, Datacenter Group, and general manager, Storage Group, Intel Corp.
“Intel, QCT and Cloudian are collaborating to develop industry-leading storage solutions to address today’s explosive data growth while ensuring simple deployment, scalability, manageability, as well as environmental and financial efficiencies.”
