The Reef Hotel Casino has deployed Brocade HyperEdge architecture which enables network to scale to meet demand and incorporate new technologies.
Brocade has helped the hotel Casino to enhance overall network performance with a highly cost-effective solution and improve its services to administration staff and guests.
The hotel said existing network provides optimal speed and performance so they required a new network solution to deliver greater performance, flexibility and cost-efficiency.
According to the company, Brocade and its partner, Integrated Solutions worked with The Reef Hotel Casino IT team on a network design that eliminates single points of failure, using the Brocade ICX family of stackable campus switches running HyperEdge Architecture.
The phased implementation of Brocade ICX switches includes The Reef Hotel Casino hotel operations, back-office administration for management, finance, marketing, human resources, and payroll, as well as its electronic gaming facilities.
The Hotel has deployed fiber-optic infrastructure, enabling long-distance horizontal switch stack interconnects of up to 40 Gigabits per second by replacing category 5 copper cabling throughout the complex.
In addition, hotel and casino have noticed a improvement in application response times which has enhanced the speed of customer services.
“The Brocade ICX switches and high-grade supports we’re receiving from Integrated Solutions have enabled us to develop a more resilient network, with much more bandwidth and easier network admin,” said Mark Buck, information technology manager, The Reef Hotel Casino.
Few days ago, Fastrack Technology deployed Brocade Vyatta vRouter software networking technology as a core component of its data center operations.
Last month, Brocade announced its supplying Fiber Channel storage networking switching solutions to Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (Hactl) to support its data center operations.
