Aerohive Networks, a provider of controller-less Wi-Fi and cloud-managed mobile networking for the enterprise market, has expanded its agreement with The Boyd Group, a leading auto repair retailer in North America.
The company provides connectivity solutions to streamline the retail operations of The Boyd Group, officials at Aerohive said.
The Boyd Group selected Aerohive to improve its wireless infrastructure following the company’s rapid expansion in the recent years. The company has been growing with acquisitions in both the U.S. and Canada, and on average, opens six new locations per year.
While The Boyd Group had Wi-Fi access at some of its locations previously, there was not a unified wireless solution across the entire company. The company turned to Aerohive to implement a Wi-Fi network that would provide a resilient infrastructure to streamline its retail operations with wireless devices.
Aerohive’s centralized remote management was the best fit for the Boyd Group small IT team. Moreover, Aerohive’s controller-less technology provided the auto retailer with a solution that could easily scale as the company grows.
After implementing Aerohive’s enterprise-class network, The Boyd Group has been able to revamp its retail operations across the company, streamlining customer service.
Following this development, technicians now input vehicle information and photos through a wireless device which is directly uploaded to the corporate network for estimating procedures. As a result, employees can immediately process the estimate car-side, creating greater efficiency and drastically reducing wait time—ultimately boosting customer satisfaction.
The company is now poised to manage and control all operations across its wireless network, and can easily add new retail locations as future acquisitions are made, officials at The Boyd Group said.
