Charles Kanavel, CIO, Diocese of San Jose, said: “We chose NetScaler because of its outstanding performance. With our schools increasingly relying on mobile web and web apps, the security and additional performance that comes from the NetScaler MobileStream technology is exactly what is needed in today’s competitive educational landscape.”

Bring Your Own Device is a growing trend within our Diocesan schools. We have seen increased student involvement as they are using their own devices and are able to better personalize them. Additionally, we are embracing this trend because it produces significant cost savings as we do not have to furnish devices in 1:1 programs,” Kanavel added.

At the summit, Citrix announced new Citrix ShareFile features the ability to access and edit files from multiple data sources on their mobile devices.

In addition, Citrix said it is also releasing a ShareFile StorageZone Connectors SDK that allows any IT or partner organization to develop connectors to any enterprise content management (ECM) system.

Meanwhile, the new Citrix XenMobile release includes additional support for Windows Phone 8, operational and scalability enhancements as well as backend integrations that further automate mobile workflows for businesses and end users.

The technology preview of new workflow-driven mobile productivity apps – including WorxNotes, WorxEdit and WorxDesktop – enable people to be more productive on their tablets or phones, while IT retains control.
