Time Warner Cable Business Class (TWCBC) has launched a new voice solution — SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) Trunks.
TWCBC’s SIP Trunks offer a flexible and cost-effective alternative to traditional TDM-based voice trunk services for those businesses with IP (Internet Protocol) PBX equipment.
Delivered over TWCBC’s extensive fiber-rich network, this robust SIP Trunk offering includes dedicated bandwidth for voice calls so voice traffic no longer competes for bandwidth with data traffic.
“Our SIP Trunks offering is an innovative, reliable, and scalable service designed to meet the needs of businesses with more sophisticated communications infrastructure, and complements the PRI Trunk services we already offer.” said Greg King, senior vice president and chief product and strategy officer for Time Warner Cable Business Class.
The SIP Trunk offering includes:
Unlimited local calling, Caller ID, Inbound/Outbound Call Blocking, Calling Name and Number Delivery
Business continuity features such as Alternate Routing, which re-routes calls to another destination when the primary location is not available
A trunk administration portal for managing service features, accessing online call detail, and on-demand reporting
Flexible options to purchase as few as six call paths, and the ability to add more call paths one at a time
