TIBCO Software unveils new mobile application development software

Infotech Lead America: TIBCO Software has unveiled TIBCO Silver Mobile 1.0, a new mobile application development and management software.

Indian enterprises will benefit as the new platform allow them to develop user-focused, mobile applications that enable employees to leverage all their information on any device.

Meanwhile, the company also launched TIBCO Silver Fabric 5.0, the latest version of its cloud platform. The new version enables a new Platform-as-a-Service operations model to simplify provisioning and management of enterprise software platforms.

Matt Quinn, CTO, TIBCO Software

“Mobile devices have changed the way employees work, and enterprises realize they need to very quickly develop and deploy mission-critical mobile apps that can improve productivity and give employees secure, real-time access to corporate information,” said Matt Quinn, CTO, TIBCO Software.

The capabilities of the TIBCO Silver Platform help enterprises benefit from the consumerization of IT.

TIBCO Silver Mobile enables enterprises to extend their critical business applications and processes to mobile users, on the device of their choosing. Developers will benefit from the agility of the cloud with enterprise-class software infrastructure platforms, enterprise security and oversight.

TIBCO said its Silver Fabric 5.0 brings a new Platform-as-a-Service operations model (PAAS Ops) to enterprise IT that radically eases the provisioning and managing of enterprise software platforms, simplifying the development process and accelerating time to market for new software development projects.

“Partnering with TIBCO enables Quartet FS’ analytical in-memory DBMS ‘ActivePivot’ to operate in distributed environments in optimum conditions, with lower risk of failover and decreased administration costs for our customers,” said Georges Bory, co-founder and managing director of Quartet FS.
