HP Enterprise Services join hands with SAP to offer managed mobility

Infotech Lead America: HP Enterprise Services has joined hands with SAP to offer managed mobility services to clients.

Through the partnership with SAP, HP Enterprise Services aims at  converting its customer interactions into revenue opportunities and improve employee productivity with mobile applications.

HP Managed Mobility Services for the SAP Mobile Platform help clients visualize, plan, build, operate and secure mobile applications. This can change the way they interact with customers, employees and partners on any device.

The services leverage the SAP Mobile Platform, the SAP Afaria mobile device management solution and a portfolio of mobile applications to offer end-to-end mobile application platform.

As part of HP Managed Mobility Services for the SAP Mobile Platform, HP offers consulting services to visualize new systems of engagement through mobile channels, assess the SAP solution-based environment and mobile application architecture, and create a mobile application strategy and roadmap.

In addition, HP, according to a media statement, works with clients to develop, integrate, test and implement pre- and custom-built mobile applications in industries such as automotive, industrial, engineering, consumer and retail.

Jules Beck, vice president, Global Enterprise Applications and Mobility Services, HP Enterprise Services, said: “HP is collaborating with SAP, leveraging our deep technology portfolio and services expertise and SAP mobile technologies to create one of the most advanced mobile application solutions available to the market.”

With these services, the SAP mobile solution can be delivered from the HP Converged Cloud, thereby lowering the risk and cost of mobile applications.

Moreover, enterprises have the option to implement the solution on premises, taking advantage of HP’s implementation services for SAP Rapid Deployment solutions. Enterprises can lower the risk and cost of mobile applications while allowing the business to optimize employee productivity and operational costs.

Chris McClain, executive vice president, Global Mobility Solutions, SAP, said: “HP Managed Mobility Services for the SAP Mobile Platform and SAP Afaria will help enterprises support their ever-expanding mobile stakeholders globally with a range of applications.”
