Edimax launches dual band Wi-Fi extender EW-7238RPD

Infotech Lead Asia: EDIMAX Technology has launched the EW-7238RPD N300+ Dual-Band Universal Wi-Fi Extender, a 300Mbps slim line dual-band Wi-Fi extender designed to boost the coverage of any Wi-Fi network. This latest Wi-Fi extender aims to deliver high-quality 5 GHz WI-Fi across the user’s entire home.

The EW-7238RPD offers an extensive array of features and reliable  performance in a sleek, wall mounted design. It is compatible with any wireless router or access point.
The EW-7238RPD eliminates Wi-Fi dead zones and solves signal problems to give tablets, smart phones, smart TVs, game consoles, network cameras and other wireless devices access to fast, reliable dual-band Wi-Fi.
The EW-7238RPD extends simultaneous dual-band 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi. It supports wireless IEE 802.11a/b/g/n speeds up to 300Mbps. Its universal compatibility makes installation simple regardless of the existing network configuration. A Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button provides a secondary setup option for use with WPS-compatible routers/access points. By simply pushing the button on both devices to activate WPS, both the devices will quickly and automatically establish a secure connection.
The EW-7238RPD features IEEE802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) that regulates the power supply to an Ethernet data link based on usage. Combined with further configuration options, the extender’s LEDs can be disabled. This capability makes the EW-7238RPD a dynamic, energy-saving and efficient product.
The in-built ethernet port in the device accommodates devices with no Wi-Fi capacity to enable the EW-7238RPD to be further used as a Wi-Fi client for an ethernet-only device.
EDIMAX Technology recently announced an achievement of 150 percent  year on year  growth. The company aims to cover almost 20 percent networking market  in India by 2014. With a network base of 50+ partners in the North and West India, the company plans to double its growth in 2013 by aggressively targeting the market of South India.
