Avaya Q4 2013 revenue decreased 6 percent to $1.2 billion

Business communications vendor Avaya’s fourth quarter 2013 revenue decreased 6 percent year-on-year to $1.2 billion.

Both product and service revenue decreased during the fourth quarter.

Avaya said its Q4 2013 operating income increased to $113 million from $76 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012.

For fiscal 2013, Avaya revenue decreased 9 percent to $4.7 billion.

The revenue decline is despite releasing more than 100 new products for the enterprises.

Kevin Kennedy, president and CEO of Avaya, said its mobile video and collaboration tools are well positioned to meet the requirements of an increasingly mobile and connected anytime/anywhere workforce.

Avaya said its product revenue of $617 million decreased by 5.4 percent compared to the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012.

Avaya Global Services revenue of $583 million decreased 6.7 percent compared to the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012.

During the fourth fiscal quarter, U.S. generated 55 percent revenue to Avaya, EMEA 26 percent, Asia Pacific 9 percent and Americas International 10 percent.
