AirWatch presents new business mobility solutions

VMWare buys AirWatch
AirWatch showcased new business mobility solutions at its AirWatch Connect 2015, a four-day event started on September 24 in Atlanta.

The company said the new solutions, named as AirWatch Privacy First, are designed to drive innovation for customers and help transform their business. AirWatch is a registered  trademark of VMware.

“We deliver consumer simple, enterprise secure solutions with user privacy in mind, and are working with our customers to define the future of what’s possible with business mobility,” said John Marshall, senior vice president and general manager, AirWatch.

AirWatch claimed that AirWatch Privacy First offers expanded privacy education and transparency with a specific focus on organizational compliance along with end-user transparency and choice.

AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management, designed for enterprises, provide simple administrative configurations for data privacy and policy management to help IT administrators maintain compliance.

Meanwhile, AirWatch’s new online resources will provide educational information about AirWatch data collection and privacy policies for end-users.

AirWatch Privacy First resources are expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Furthermore, AirWatch introduced enhanced support for Windows 10 and new capabilities in its EMM solution. The company said both are available currently.

Separately, VMware said it extended partnership with Samsung to include Airwatch enterprise mobility management and Samsung KNOX Workspace.

Under the terms of the agreement, VMware will resell Samsung KNOX Workspace globally, and Samsung Business Services, part of Samsung Electronics America, will now offer AirWatch by VMware Enterprise Mobility Management Suite in the United States.

“Together we are helping enable business mobility in organizations around the world that want to transform business processes and enhance security,” said Susan Nash, vice president, End-User Computing, VMware.

VMware said it will offer a range of supporting services to help customers onboard Samsung KNOX Workspace, including procurement, policy enablement, app installation and deployment on the latest Samsung Galaxy devices.
