The data center infrastructure market in India is expected to reach $2.45 billion by the end of 2020 growing at a CAGR of 3.72 percent, said Infoholic Research.
The data center infrastructure market includes storage, servers and network equipment.
In 2014, the data center infrastructure market has shown growth in India and expected to continue the same trend during the period 2014-2015. The storage segment has grown the most as compared to servers and network equipment segments.
The data center infrastructure in India is expected to reach $2.01 billion by the end of 2015 growing at 5.4 percent from 2014–2015.
The data center infrastructure market penetration in Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI) and manufacturing is expected to be more than 50 percent by the end of 2015.
The efficiency in the manufacturing sector is expected to drive the data center infrastructure market in India from 2015 to 2020.
Network equipment segment is the largest segment of data center infrastructure markets by value with a share of 46.6 percent, followed by the servers and storage segments with a share of 33.1 percent and 20.2 percent, respectively.
During the period 2015-2020, the data center storage segment is expected grow at a CAGR of 5.16 percent.
“The market is largely driven by the key verticals such as manufacturing, Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI),” said Tariq Shaik, Research Operations.
Few days ago, IDC said India’s external enterprise storage systems market is expected to witness a year-on-year growth in 2015.
In September 2014, Gartner predicted that India will be the second largest market for data center infrastructure within the Asia Pacific region and it will also be the second fastest growing market in Asia Pacific in 2015.
According to Gartner, the Indian data center infrastructure market, comprising of server, storage and networking equipment, will total $2.03 billion in 2015, a 5.4 percent increase from 2014 revenue of $1.92 billion.
Server revenue is forecast to reach $677 million in 2015, a 3 percent increase over 2014 within the Indian IT infrastructure market.
Gartner predicted storage market will reach $409 million in 2015, a 7 percent increase from this year.
