State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest public sector bank, is looking for a new chief technology officer.
The bank has one of the largest IT set ups in the country.
The CTO will be responsible for assisting SBI deputing managing director & chief information officer (CIO) by managing core IT infrastructure. CTO will also look after strategic planning of IT. “This is a challenging position with opportunity to play a strategic role in technology planning, implementation and policy formulation,” said SBI in an advertisement in a leading media.
The person should be able to handle the core IT infrastructure, technology planning, application development, implement new technology initiatives as well as preparing technology architecture of SBI to address its projected need and to remain technologically competitive in the market in India, SBI said.
The appointment will be for a period of three years on contract basis. The position is based in SBI’s global IT center in Navi Mumbai, India.
