Genesys, a provider of contact center solutions, today announced the appointment of Merijn te Booij as its chief marketing officer responsible for accelerating the company’s digital marketing efforts, brand and product strategy.

Since 2000, te Booij has been instrumental in setting the company vision, establishing its Business Consulting practice, and solidifying its market leadership.

This new role combines marketing and product strategy and is part of an organizational strategy to enhance customer focus and innovation.

Recently, Genesys consolidated all customer facing organizations under President Tom Eggemeier, and David Sudbey was appointed as chief customer officer.

“As the company expands its product portfolio and prepares to cross the $1 billion threshold, we are making a series of moves to simplify the organizational structure, all with a focus on our customers’ experience,” said Paul Segre, chief executive officer of Genesys.

Genesys CMO Merijn te Booij said: “No other solution comes close to delivering the power of a Genesys solution, and we will work to communicate those benefits to customer experience leaders across the globe at a time when CX counts more than ever.”
