DDB Mudra Group deploys Nexans cabling solutions to roll out digital media projects

The DDB Mudra Group has deployed Nexans’ LANmark-6 and LANmark-OF cabling systems to roll out digital media projects.

The integrated marketing communications and services network is serving more than 4000 towns across twenty one states inIndia.

Nexans solutions will enable the integrated communications agency to ensure strong IT network supporting high-definition video to Podcasts and Tweets.

Wipro Technologies, Nexans’ system integrator, deployed the system.

“We specialize in planning, designing and implementing digital communications. Our agency is made up of many experts in e-commerce and widgets writing HTML, JavaScript or Cascading Style Sheets; traditional graphic artists and photographers,” said Sebastian Joseph, president and CIO at The DDB Mudra Group.

“We are totally dependent on a fool-proof network infrastructure to support our business. IT is literally our backbone. Without it, we can’t use sophisticated design software and business application systems that let us serve our technically astute clients,” Joseph added.

The DDB Mudra Group’s production facility is dependent on computers with complex layout and artistic software requiring robust LANs for support. New media requires large file sizes for art, photography and video, a lot which is shared among the development team, downloaded by clients or obtained from outside sources.

Nexans has reported revenue of 7 billion euros in 2011.

“DDB Mudra Group’s infrastructure consists of 6,000 meters of LANmark-6 for each floor’s horizontal network supplying 1GB to the desk through 1600 nodes. It is also supported by a vertical uplink of 150 metres of LANmark-OF fibre cable,” said Chintak Dalal, country manager at NexansIndia.

Infrastructure proposed by Nexans has more than exceeded expectations and meets the company’s business demands.
