ADATA Technology announces India expansion plan

Infotech Lead India: ADATA Technology, a manufacturer of DRAM modules and NAND Flash application products, announced its renewed strategy for business in India.

It will appoint new Regional Distributors (RDs). ADATA plans to expand its distribution footprint beyond the top 30 cities and B&C class towns. The appointment of Regional Distributors (RDs) is a part of ADATA India’s overall strategy to garner higher market share in the Indian market.

“ADATA remains committed in providing quality innovative products to Indian consumers and in our endeavor to expand our product’s reach to wider spectrum of consumers; we are immensely pleased to appoint the new set of Regional Distributors. The RDs are chosen based on their market strengths and whether they meet the criteria set by ADATA to cater to a larger cross section of consumers. With these appointments we are expecting rapid growth for ADATA brand in the current year,” said Chris Chang, MD, ADATA India Technology.

At present, the company’s distribution is taken care by Ingram Micro, Rashi Peripherals and Technocrat Infotech.

The newly appointed regional distributors are Champion Computers for North, Aldous Glare for South and Creative Computers for West and they will focus only on external hard drives and SSDs.

The company plans to focus on the key emerging storage segment of SSDs and the ubiquitous external hard drives this year as its part of its strategy.

The company has recently appointed Sudip De as vice president who will be overall in-charge of India business development, along with regional sales persons at key strategic locations in every region.

The company also plans to carry our various ATL/BTL marketing activities to create awareness about its range of products along with these RDs in the coming months. To take care of its post-sales activities the company already has Accel Frontline.
