Sutherland Global Services to buy Apollo Health Street

    Infotech Lead Asia: BPO major Sutherland Global Services is set to buy Apollo Health Street (AHS), a provider of healthcare business services and Health Information Technology (HIT) based solutions.

    This acquisition will position Sutherland Global Services as a top healthcare service provider with IT and business process integrated solutions. The company will consolidate its presence as a dominant player in the $38 billion healthcare business process outsourcing (BPO).

    This fosters Apollo Hospitals’ strategic intent of focusing and growing its core healthcare delivery services.

    Sutherland has over 30,000 employees working out of 35 operations centers in the United States, Philippines, India, UAE, Egypt, Bulgaria, UK, Canada, Jamaica, Mexico, and Colombia.

It also address the challenges and opportunities created by healthcare reforms in the United States, including Meaningful Use, Health Insurance Exchanges (HIX), ICD-10, and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).

    Apollo’s global clients will be able to leverage Sutherland’s infrastructure with access to Sutherland’s suite of analytics-enabled services. Sutherland will utilize Apollo’s domain driven technology, practices, and global resources to expand and secure its leadership position.
