Infotech Lead India: Kotak Mahindra Group has signed up Microsoft to deploy Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 to improve collaboration and communication among its employees.
Kotak Mahindra’s unified communications strategy across its business units enables it to benefit from cost efficiency from higher utilization of resources, standardization and improved manageability of the IT environment.
Moreover, the Microsoft Exchange 2010 deployment ensured ease of integration into the existing tech environment.
“The deployment of Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 at Kotak Mahindra Group will support employees in collaborating in a seamless fashion,” said Ramkumar Pichai, General Manager, Microsoft Office Division, Microsoft India. “Our technology allows users to collaborate easily, host meetings, share instant messages and streamline communications, thereby, helping to achieve business goals.”
Recently, Toyota Motor has selected Microsoft’s platforms to build its communications and collaboration infrastructure. Toyota Motor Sales USA and other affiliates in North America started deployment of Microsoft Office 365-dedicated cloud services as their exclusive environment in June 2012.
In Japan and other overseas affiliates, Toyota will be using a hybrid model, with on-premises editions of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Lync and Windows Server. Microsoft will help Toyota provide these services to more than 200,000 employees around the world during the next two years.
Unilog Content Solutions specializes in Big Data Analytics and Product Data Management for eCommerce. Unilog used the Microsoft solution as its hosted mail service outgrew its existing solutions, resulting in significant downtimes, loss of mission critical emails and difficulty in maintaining a higher mailbox quota.
Microsoft said the deployment supports improved employee efficiency and better IT management.
