Oracle to buy digital solutions co Aconex for $1.2 billion

Oracle Construction and Engineering CloudOracle is set to buy Aconex, a provider of digital solutions for construction industry, in a deal valued at approximately $1.2 billion.

Leigh Jasper and Rob Phillpot are the co-founders of Aconex.

Aconex supplies project collaboration solution that digitally connects owners, builders and other teams, providing visibility and management of data, documents and costs across construction project lifecycle. 70,000 user organizations in over 70 countries are using Aconex digital solutions in over $1 trillion in projects.

Oracle Construction and Engineering Cloud offers solutions for planning, scheduling and delivering large-scale projects. The strategy of Oracle is to use Aconex digital solutions to provide an end-to-end offering for project management and delivery.
