Ricoh India, a provider of imaging solutions and IT services, has introduced Android based smart operation panels for its printers and MFPs.
The new smart operation panel, as part of the strategy of Ricoh India to bring IT and Smart office ecosystem, is an alternative to Ricoh’s current user interface (UI).
Ricoh said the smart operation panel enhances efficiency and productivity for the mobile workplace in India. This MFP, allowing flexibility and customization, enables customers to scan with a touch of an icon and directly upload to the ERP without depending on the computer. Customers can link it to the workflow applications which host in house and even on cloud.
The 10.1-inch operation panel running on Android 4.2 OS allows to capture and generate documents from smart phones as well as tablets. Users can drag, drop, rearrange and delete documents by using app icons.
It addition to internet browsing, viewing of video or movie and to print web pages, it works with a range of apps such as Dropbox, Office 365 and OneDrive, among others.
Users can install optional application on to the smart operation panel for smooth and dynamic office processes. Ricoh’s free Smart Device Connector app enables one-touch connection between a smart device and a Ricoh MFP.
Users can connect Apple smart devices by scanning a unique QR code on the MFP and Android users can connect directly using NFC technology. This saves time by eliminating the need to register the smart device or join the organization’s network.
RICOH MP C306ZSP will be the first Ricoh device to offer Ricoh’s 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel. All future models will come with this panel. Users can upgrade the existing device with Smart Operation Panel by replacing the current panel.
