Grandstream Networks adds 2 new Gigabit desktop phones

Grandstream Networks, IP voice/video telephony and video surveillance solutions vendor, has unveiled two new Gigabit desktop phones with color display for SMBs and enterprises.

The GXP2140and GXP2160 Enterprise HD IP Phones feature color LCD display that offers enhanced usability and visual experience, dual Gigabit network ports that provides better network speed for attached desktop computers, and integrated Bluetooth that enables voice/data applications with mobile phones and headsets.

Grandstream Networks in a statement said the GXP2140 and GXP2160 come with enhanced software features, and hardware capabilities.

The new GXP2140/2160 phones support productivity features such as phonebook exchange/synch-up between the GXP Phones and mobile phones, call & phone operation via Bluetooth headsets from several meters away, call transfers between the new GXP Phones and an iPhone or Android mobile phone, automated local weather forecast, and many more.

The GXP2140/2160 supports all major SIP-based IP PBX/softswitch/IMS platforms in the market such as Broadsoft, Metaswitch, Asterisk, Elastix, etc. It also supports 19 native languages.

Both the GXP2140 and GXP2160 feature a 4.3” 480×272 TFT color LCD, 5 programmable soft keys, HD audio quality on handset and speakerphone, 5-way conference, dual Gigabit network ports with PoE, integrated Bluetooth, and USB.

All new GXP Phones will showcase a new ergonomically-designed handset and user-friendly key design/placement. Additionally, the GXP2140 supports 4 lines, up to 4 SIP accounts, and up to 4 GXP2200 cascaded extension modules with LCD display. The GXP2160 supports 6 lines, up to 6 SIP accounts, and has 24 programmable BLF extension keys.

The price of the GXP2140 and GXP2160 Enterprise IP Telephones is $139 (GXP2140) and $159 (GXP2160).
