CyrusOne implements Panduit cooling optimization technology

Panduit said CyrusOne has deployed its cooling optimization technology at its Austin, Texas, data centers.

Panduit, a provider of data center solutions, said the technology is expected to enhance operational transparency in operating conditions for CyrusOne customers while achieving increased operational efficiency through saving significant energy costs.

Amanda Souarez, vice president of Data Center Systems, said: “The Panduit SynapSense Cooling Optimization solution is an excellent example of this approach and enables us to provide agile, transparent, and customer-centered engineering with exceptional results.”

The company has deployed the SynapSense Cooling Optimization solution in three phases. In the first phase, the wireless environmental monitoring is deployed.

In the second phase, Panduit Services, together with the CyrusOne team, used Panduit advanced tools and metrics to optimize data center cooling.

In the third phase, the Active Control feature of SynapSoft Software automatically maintains efficient and cost-effective operating conditions by dynamically matching cooling to the varying equipment loads and conditions in the data center. As a result, operational reliability is enhanced while saving on energy costs is maximized.

“CyrusOne is laser-focused on providing their customers the latest data center technologies and services to realize exceptional operational efficiencies with transparency for customers,” said Khaled Nassoura, vice president of Panduit Data Center business.
