Vodafone bags mobility, cloud, telecom deals from International SOS

Vodafone has bagged mobility, cloud and telecom management deal from International SOS, a medical and travel security risk services company.

As per the contract, Vodafone will manage mobility services for around 1,300 employees in a number of key markets.

Vodafone did not share the size of the IT deal. Vodafone is trying to position as a total communication company.

The new contract will assist International SOS, which provides medical and travel security services to multi-national corporate clients, governments and non-governmental organizations, to reduce the complexity of managing its mobile communications.

International SOS has also signed a contract for Vodafone Telecoms Management. This suite of services allows International SOS to manage all its fixed and mobile telecoms services centrally, giving it greater visibility over usage and spend per user either by region or business unit.

Vodafone has also won a contract for cloud and hosting services in the UK to offer IT infrastructure to host a range of applications in order to meet its business requirements.

Richard Davies, CIO of International SOS, said: “Vodafone’s Telecoms Management service allows us to track usage and spending across multiple providers and countries, while its cloud and hosting services allow us to only pay for the services we use and to respond rapidly to changing business needs.”
