Infotech Lead Canada: Uniserve Communications Corporation (USS.V) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Belhara Security Systems, to provide Virtual Desktop Appliances to smaller municipal governments and private institutions throughout Canada.
The virtual desktop appliances will use Belhara’s security technologies along with its alliance partners and Uniserve’s Cloud Computing capability. The virtual desktops will perform faster than physical desktops, while maintaining centralized management and control, and no compromise security, resulting in significantly lowers operating costs.
“Belhara and its alliance members are extremely excited to be partnering with Uniserve. Their scalable cloud computing capabilities provide the perfect infrastructure to host our products” said Tilo Kunz, CEO of Belhara. “We believe that this joint solution will enable a large number of smaller organizations to benefit from the increased security and lower operating costs offered by Desktop Cloud Computing.”
Belhara provides secure access to its alliance partners Virtual Desktop Appliances through FinanceSafe, an encrypted USB key that boots a hardened operating system with an embedded virtual desktop viewer to securely display the virtual desktops hosted in the Uniserve Cloud.
“Belhara and its alliance partners are market leaders in their fields and we are very happy that they have chosen Uniserve as their preferred partner to provide cloud based services in Canada,” said Uniserve CEO Mike Schmidt. “This is a strong endorsement of Uniserve’s Joyent backed cloud computing services and deals such as these will help the Company deliver against its strategic growth plan.”
By providing access to the Cloud through devices that are provably secure and centrally managed enterprises can prevent the risks associated with malware infected PCs and untrusted networks. Belhara’s solutions also help regulated organizations to meet their various compliance obligations.
