Oracle India is planning to hire 200 sales professionals to expand Oracle Cloud solutions in India.
Hiring will take place across Oracle’s nine sales offices throughout India.
With this expansion, Oracle is set to support the needs of enterprise computing in both SMBs and large enterprises.
Oracle Cloud delivers services like data as a service (DaaS), software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS).
Oracle’s decision comes on the heels of a strong quarter driven by cloud revenue. The company is now expanding its cloud sales team to include more specialized sales, business development, and post sales support executives.
Oracle employs professionals in India across sales and marketing, R&D, consulting, direct sales for international markets, global support, and global financial and accounting operations.
This additional sales force will be dedicated to helping customers transition to the cloud, Oracle said.
Oracle delivers services across human capital management (HCM), sales automation (CRM), ERP, marketing, analytics, database, and Java, among many other technology areas.
Oracle’s clients include several SMBs as well as large organizations like Apollo Hospitals, Bharti Learning, HDFC Bank, Maruti Motors and Hero MotoCorp.
Companies like bookmyshow.com, flipkart.com, jabong.com, makemytrip.com are leveraging Oracle Cloud solutions to manage their workforce and also integrate marketing, sales, customer service, back-end processes, and customer feedback to get a 360 degree view of their customer, the company said.
