IT services provider Wipro has recently reshuffled the top management by appointing new chief executive officer (CEO) and chief operating officer (COO) and a new management team in some of its key business areas.
While TCS veteran Abidali Neemuchwala is the new CEO of Wipro, Bhanumurthy BM is the COO of the Indian software major. The Bangalore-based Wipro never had a COO since September 2009.
Hiral Chandrana will be the head of Business Application Services (BAS). Application Services contributed 46.8 percent of Wipro’s IT services revenue during the September quarter of 2015.
Kiran Desai will be the head of Global Infrastructure Services. GIS contributed 28 percent revenue to IT services business of Wipro.
Pallabh Deb will be the head of Analytics. Wipro’s Analytics business contributed 7.5 percent revenue to its IT services revenue in Q2.
Ramesh Nagarajan will be the head of Services Integration and Excellence and Krishnakumar N Menon will be the head of Service Transformation.
Wipro CEO TK Kurien will become the executive vice chairman and continue on the company’s Board until March 31, 2017.
