Serco has awarded $16.3 million to support the United States Marine Corps Reserve (MCR) Psychological Health Outreach Program (PHOP).
Serco has supported this program since 2009.
The company will provide support services to Reservists and their Families that include behavioral health screenings and follow-up communications to ensure they have the information and resources needed to enhance their state of wellness.
According to Serco, it will perform work in Devens, MA; Ft. Lewis, WA; Kansas City, MO; Marietta, GA; New Orleans, LA; and San Bruno, CA and Serco also support the United States Navy Reserve PHOP with similar work.
PHOP provides psycho-educational services, behavioral health screenings and tailored resources to ensure full access to government as well as community based services.
Under this program, strategies are developed and implemented to connect Reservists with the support services needed to treat stress injuries as soon as possible and improve their quality of life.
“Serco takes great pride in delivering vital services to our Nation’s military and their families,” said Dan Allen, Serco Inc.’s chairman and chief executive officer.
In 2013, Serco won a contract to provide shared services to over 50 government departments within the United Arab Emirates.
