Mindtree opens $20 mn software delivery center in Bhubaneshwar

IT services provider Mindtree today announced its global software delivery center in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.

Naveen Patnaik, chief minister of Odisha, inaugurated the facility called Mindtree Kalinga.

The company has built the 272,000 square feet phase 1 of campus with mud bricks made from native soil and rain water.

The delivery center will focus serving Mindtree’s global clients in the insurance domain.

Every year, 2,500 Mindtree Minds will be trained here as the core element of their competence building.

“Today’s youth are digital-natives who need a more immersive, peer-based learning experience to create meaningful solutions that positively impact the world around them. With this program, our aim is help today’s tech-savvy workforce to meaningfully use technology with an engineering, business and social mindset,” said Subroto Bagchi, chairman of Mindtree.

Mindtree Kalinga will provide specialized solutions to digitally transform Mindtree’s global insurance industry clients.

Mindtree will invest $20 million in the construction of its first phase. It is landscaped with local flora comprising of endangered species. The campus uses digital technologies for efficient consumption of resources through sensors.
