IGATE on Thursday launched its training and development facility – that can house more than 750 trainees simultaneously — in Pune, India.
The IGATE Corporate University will focus on building custom training programs and methodologies in association with global varsities. IGATE has already tied up with BITS Pilani, Symbiosis and XLRI.
The university is spread across 37 acres of land. The focus of the initiative will be on developing Leadership Quotient, Technology Quotient, and Social Quotient in the real world.
The University also has a customer experience center in the campus allowing the trainees to get a first-hand interaction with IGATE’s client fraternity.
The facility has residential facilities and co-curricular and extra-curricular amenities such as club house, swimming pools and food courts.
Harry Kenyon-Slaney, chief executive Energy, Rio Tinto, a client of IGATE, inaugurated the facility in the presence of visiting journalists.
Ashok Vemuri, president and CEO IGATE, said: “People are our biggest assets and we believe in richly investing in them, nurturing them to become the leaders of tomorrow. I foresee the IGATE Corporate University significantly enabling our employees to be best prepared for our journey of growth.”
A 14-storeyed development facility, with a capacity of seating 5000 people, in the same campus, enables the trainees to get rich experience of a technical and development environment.
