IBM leads application infrastructure and middleware market

IBM is leading the application infrastructure and middleware market with 29.1 percent share in 2014, said Gartner.
The worldwide application infrastructure and middleware software market grew 8.8 percent to $23.8 billion.
Gartner says the credit to lead 9 of the 12 application infrastructure and middleware market goes to WebSphere, IBM MQ and Business Process Management solutions (BPMS).
With BPMS software employees can work together using mobile technology and can improve business growth and agility.
Gartner in its report, Market Share: All Software Markets, Worldwide 2014, said IBM clients demand for organizations to link together Big Data, mobile, cloud and social computing technologies into core enterprise software systems.
According to the report, IBM with 28.5 percent stood is at the first position in Business Process Management Suite (BPMS) software.
IBM also held its first position in Mobile Application Development software with 15.2 percent share.

IBM ChinaIBM helped its clients to leverage application development and deliver to achieve better business outcomes with data, cloud and mobile technologies which helped IBM to remain at number one position in Application Development.
The IT company has helped developers to improved customer responsiveness and speed delivery with DevOps.
IBM Message Oriented Middleware with 75 percent and Transaction Processing Middleware with 85 percent also grabbed first position.
In addition, IBM also ranked number one in Enterprise Service Bus Suites with 29 percent and Managed File Transfer Suites with 31.3 percent share.
Transaction Processing Middleware supports mobile and cloud based commerce while Enterprise Service Bus Suites and Managed File Transfer Suites help clients with secure, reliable delivery of data between people, process and systems.
IBM generated revenue of $92.8 billion in 2014.
