IBM Connections 5 features social and collaboration, analytics and content management tools

Enterprise IT vendor IBM announced IBM Connections 5 – the latest version of the Connections platform – that features integrated suite of social and real-time collaboration, analytics and content management tools.

IBM said Connections 5, a cloud and on premises social software, can be securely delivered on any screen or device.

The company said IBM Connections helps organizations drive collaboration and engagement with customers, employees, partners and other third-parties.

IBM’s recent survey of 4,200 C-suite leaders found that 90 percent expect to increase collaboration through both social and digital channels.  The challenge is sharing the right information from the right experts to address emerging business or client opportunities in a secure way.

IBM Connections 5, which is available on the IBM Cloud marketplace, assists enterprises to personalize and share relevant content between internal and external users via file sharing and integrated social collaboration tools.

Enterprise CIOs can deploy the platform quickly on premises via the cloud or in a hybrid environment, allowing project teams to connect and collaborate in real-time on activities.

IBM says enterprise file sync and document sharing features help ensure that all team members and experts have access to the most current and up-to-date files regardless of how, when and where they are accessed.
