HP redefines New Style of IT with DataPass, PageWide, Virtual Workstation

Enterprise IT vendor HP today redefined the New Style of IT by announcing DataPass, PageWide, HP DL380z Virtual Workstation and digital printing.

“Today’s always-on, fast-paced, virtual and highly-connected environment unlocks new opportunities for businesses and end-users,” said Nick Lazaridis, senior vice president, Printing and Personal Systems, and managing director, HP Asia Pacific and Japan.

HP DataPass

HP DataPass enables customers to connect to the internet — 3G or 4G LTE — by embedding mobile broadband in select PCs and tablets. It includes a flexible mobile data service with locally competitive rates.

HP DataPass will cover 13 markets globally and offers cost effective solution for users locally and when they travel to these countries.

Customers receive up to 250 MB every month for two years at no additional cost and without contract. They also have the option to purchase additional data packages at locally competitive rates, and without a contract.

HP consumer products

HP DataPass will first be made available in Hong Kong and Singapore on the HP Slate7 Voice Tablet Ultra by the end of 2014. The service will be progressively made available across more devices and markets in 2015.

HP PageWide

HP said it is extending its PageWide technology to large-format printing. HP Designjet printers powered by PageWide will transform an industry that typically prints in monochrome to one that prints in color without compromising speed.

HP DL380z Virtual Workstation

The HP DL380z Virtual Workstation combines HP’s server technology, NVIDIA virtualization technology, and Citrix virtualization technology and delivers these via HP’s secure, workstation ecosystem.

HP Digital Printing

HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press will enable longer print runs of pressure-sensitive, wrap-around label applications and expand into flexible packaging. In addition, HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press will expand into folding carton applications. HP’s latest digital printing technologies will enable brand-owners to drive more impactful marketing campaigns.
